You can come to Cavtat by all means of transport, except by train.

Arrival by plane

The Dubrovnik Airport is in Čilipi, only 5 km from Cavtat. For local transport to Cavtat, taxi service is available 0-24 hours – ++385(0)20 640 100.

Taxi stand is located next to the Terminal building “B”
(Domestic & International Arrivals).

Taxi fare depends on taxi meter indication from 120 to 150 HRK which is approximately 17 EUR. The journey time to the hotel Croatia-Cavtat takes 15 – 20 minutes depending on the traffic.


Arrival by bus

You can come to Dubrovnik by bus (which is only 18 km away). In addition to international lines, there are daily intercity lines to and from all major Croatian cities and towns.

For transport from Cavtat to Dubrovnik or Dubrovnik to Cavtat use bus number 10, scheduled every 30 minutes.

Ticket price for transport (one way) is 25 HRK which is approximately 3,50 EUR.

Passport and Visa requirements

The travel document which a third-country national is using to enter Croatia must be valid for at least another three months after the planned departure from Croatia and issued within the previous 10 years. This does not apply to EU/EEA citizens who can enter Croatia with a passport or an identity card, both valid for the duration of stay and exit from Croatia.

For foreign citizens: Since 1 April 2013, the Republic of Croatia has been applying the European Union’s Common Visa Policy. Pursuant to the Government’s Decision, the Republic of Croatia applies the Decision No 565/2014/EU according to which all third-country nationals who are holders of valid Schengen documents, as well as national visas and residence permits of Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Romania do not require an additional (Croatian) visa for Croatia. Border officials in EU countries may ask for other supporting documents such as an invitation letter, proof of lodging, return or round-trip ticket. For the precise requirements contact the local consular services of the EU country in question.
